Prince Charles, along with other representatives from Britain, flew on a British Airways to Kai Tai airport. As The Crown shows, Charles was not seated in first class. As he wrote in his diary, “It took me some time to realise that this was not first class (!) although it puzzled me as to why the seat seemed so uncomfortable.” And other dignitaries were “ensconced in First Class immediately below us.
