Emily Brontë, the Gothic literary legend, finally gets her close-up in Frances O’Connor’s haunting directorial debut, Emily. Starring as the titular authoress is Sex Education’s Emma Mackey, who sheds the mystery of the 19th century writer’s inner life through her masterful and mercurial performance.
