Cola increase Social Security 2022 update – Automatic new $1,657 checks sent NOW as SSI boost also on way

NEW Social Security checks of $1,657 will be sent out to millions of recipients today. Those who were born between the 11th and 20th will get their checks on the third Wednesday of each month, starting with January 19. Following the upcoming checks, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients will be getting an $821 boost. SSI claimants got two checks in December reflecting the new cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) because of the holiday schedule, and they have another one coming on February 1.
