Initially, Anna Delvey wasn’t planning on watching Inventing Anna, the Netflix drama based on her life. But the “Soho Scammer”—real name Anna Sorokin—watched the series, and she has some thoughts. Namely: Julia Garner got Anna Delvey’s accent right. “It’s really hard to tell where she would be from,” Delvey told the New York Times of Garner’s interpretation of her accent. “She got it right in a way.” Delvey, who was born in Russia and grew up in Germany, has a vaguely European accent that is purposefully hard to place.
