There’s a scene in the latest season of The Crown, when Prince Charles comes to visit Princess Diana at Kensington Palace after their divorce is finalized. He’s there to rehash their relationship one more time. It’s almost certainly a fictionalized conversation, but one very specific detail rings true. “Why doesn’t one just eat scrambled eggs all the time?” Prince Charles asks, as he wolfs down a plate in the Palace kitchen.
