Inside the White House Historical Association’s 60th Anniversary Gala

The Temple of Dendur at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art has seen a thing or two—if not during its centuries-long tenure in Egypt then certainly during the Met Gala—but it likely has never seen a troop of minutemen. But the Colonial-era ritual was appropriate to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the White House Historical Association at its annual gala on November 4.
