The fashion industry is mourning the loss of Japanese designer Issey Miyake, who died on August 5 at the age of 84 in Tokyo from hepatocellular carcinoma, a type of liver cancer, according to a release from Miyake Design Studio and the Issey Miyake Group obtained by WWD.
