Astrid Stawiarz via Getty Images Julie Powell, the food writer whose yearlong commitment to preparing all 524 recipes in Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” was immortalized in the film “Julie & Julia,” died Oct. 26 at her home in Olivebridge, New York.
