Kamila Valieva’s 2022 Beijing Olympics End With a Stumble Amid Doping Scandal

Nine days after the Russian Olympic Committee’s star skater Kamila Valieva wound up in an international controversy over a failed drug test, she fell multiple times during the free skate portion of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics women’s figure skating competition and failed to medal. Valieva came in fourth, while the gold and silver medals went to her teammates Anna Shcherbakova and Alexandra Trusova, respectively.
