Queen Elizabeth Heads to Sandringham to Commemorate the Anniversary of Her Father’s Death
Despite delaying her holiday travel plans due to a surge of coronavirus cases in the U.K., Queen Elizabeth got to make her trip to Sandringham after all to mark the anniversary of her father’s passing. The monarch was flown by helicopter to the Norfolk, England estate on Sunday. She traditionally spends Christmas and New Year’s at the estate, staying through February 6, the date of her late father King George VI’s death and her ascension to the throne.
