Romeo and Juliet Stars, 71 and 72, Are Suing Paramount Pictures Over Nude Scene 54 Years Later

Olivia Hussey and Leonard Whiting, the teenage stars of 1968’s Romeo and Juliet, have submitted a joint lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Paramount Pictures, due to a nude scene they shot for the film when they were both underage. Hussey, now 71, was just 15 years old when she starred as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, while Whiting, now 72, was only 16 when he portrayed Romeo in director Franco Zeffirelli’s now classic adaptation of the Shakespeare tragedy.
