Social Security COLA payment schedule 2022 — Americans may see benefits boosted to $1,800 in 2023 — are you eligible?

MILLIONS of Americans may see an average Social Security benefit boost to $1,800 in a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) increase next year. The Senior Citizens League has tweaked its 2023 COLA projection to an 8.6 percent increase, up from a 5.9 percent increase in 2022. The increase would mean that the average benefit will climb about $143 per month to $1,800. The maximum benefit would jump by around $361 to a whopping $4,555.
