The Re-queering of Sex and the City
Carrie Bradshaw, queen of rhetorical questions, asked a striking one in the first episode of And Just Like That. “We can’t stay who we were, right?” she muses to Miranda. The show offers its own answer: of course not. And Just Like That… feels like HBO’s attempt at rectifying some of the parts of Sex and the City that haven’t aged well.
