The Rubells, Miami’s Longtime Art Patrons, Bet Big on Washington, DC

Don and Mera Rubell own more than 7,500 works of art by more than 800 artists. They’ve been collecting for 50 years, and started buying works from artist studios in the 1960s when Don was working as a gynecologist and Mera was a teacher getting her real estate license.
