Truman Capote’s Infamous 1966 Black and White Ball is Being Turned Into a Musical

Truman Capote will soon be celebrated in a musical crafted by composer and lyricist Ryan Scott Silver. Called Party of the Century, the production will reimagine one of the most famous society events in American history: Capote’s 1966 Black and White Ball at the Plaza Hotel. Silver has only just begun writing alongside Kirsten Guenther, whom he worked with on a previous production called Mrs. Sharp.
