Universal basic income 2022 – Deadline to claim direct one-time payment of $285 passes

THE deadline for millions of Americans in Maine to claim a $285 one-time payment has passed. Qualifying residents had until March 31 to apply for the cash. Applicants must have filed a Maine individual tax return as a full-time resident for the 2020 tax year by October 31, 2021. There are also income threshold requirements.
