Unleashed Protestors Growl at Bernadette Peters During Animal Charity Event

Bernadette Peters spoke before an assembled crowd in Schubert Alley, in the heart of New York’s Broadway Theater District, for the 24th annual Broadway Barks animal adoption event on Saturday. The yearly canine caucus was founded by Peters and the late Mary Tyler Moore to promote the adoption of animals, aid shelters, and works in conjunction with the Humane Society of New York and Main Line Animal Rescue, a group that sponsors a program called Braille Trails which helps visually impaired children.
