With Proposed Assault-Weapons Ban, Gavin Newsom Tries to Get on Conservatives’ Level

Last week, the Supreme Court declined to strike down the Texas law banning all abortions that take place six weeks after pregnancy. SB8, as the law is called, is unique in that it allows private citizens to sue anyone who performs or facilitates an abortion.
